Double victory plus five podium finishes for the Prema Theodore Racing team
Sensational driving was seen this weekend at the Red Bull Ring from the Prema Theodore Racing ADAC F4 drivers, as they collectively took five podium positions.
Race 1 saw Ferrari Driver Academy member Marcus Armstrong take an incredible lights to flag victory after clinching double pole position earlier in the day. Estonian Jüri Vips had a strong run up the field to take fourth place meanwhile Juan Manuel Correa fought from 19th to 11th, ending the race just shy of a points finish following contact.
Race 2 continued to deliver podium positions with American Correa taking second after a close fight for the lead, followed by Armstrong taking third place. Vips was close behind in fifth, providing him with a good opportunity for Race 3 in which he grabbed the last victory of the weekend. Kiwi Armstrong tasted the champagne once more as he took his third podium of the weekend. For Correa it was a race to forget as he had to retire due to contact.
Leaving the weekend Prema Theodore Racing still lead both the team and driver championships as they look ahead to Round 4 at Oschersleben in just under a months’ time on 7-9 July.
Marcus Armstrong :
“I’m really happy with the race weekend. Straight away we were quick from Friday practice and on Saturday we got a double pole by such a margin I was extremely satisfied. It’s about time we got some reward for our hard work and getting three podiums with one win in a weekend makes us really pleased.”
