‍Wrapping up an eventful weekend for the series, the Italian squad retained their lead in both the driver championship, with Estonian Jüri Vips, and in the team competition. Prema secured two third place finishes over the weekend which might be even upgraded due to a potential technical infringement on some of the rival cars, which raced pending appeal.

The first Prema man to step on the podium for the weekend was Vips, who delivered an outstanding recovery after a tough qualifying session - the 16-year-old racer went from 12th place to P3 in race 1. In race 2, he captured a valuable fifth place before being put out of contention in race 3 by a contact that also involved team-mate Marcus Armstrong. The young New Zealander, supported by the Ferrari Driver Academy, took third place in race 2 after ending up fifth in race 1.

Juan Manuel Correa was unlucky throughout the weekend. The 17-year-old American showcased a good pace in practice but was hampered by two contacts in race 1 and 3, with the other drivers getting grid penalties. In the end, he scored one points finish in race 2 and hopes to be back to his true pace in the next round of the series

Marcus Armstrong —
“The weekend started not bad - qualifying 6th and 4th. I'm glad we made progress in the races. In race 1 it was unsatisfying to finish 5th but it was good to take the points. In race 2 we struggled for speed, I had some issues with the tyre and I had to defend a lot to keep 3rd position. Race 3 was really unfortunate, with one driver taking myself & Juri out. I continued the race but had a lot of damage so it was tough. Thank you to Prema for another productive weekend.”
